I have two weeks of school left, and this week I have two days off for various conferences and other student activities. Summer break is in sight! For PC I've had to detail my summer plans - how I will occupy my three months without scheduled work at the school. I did that and have sent it along to them, and figured I would put it up here as well, to give an idea of what a summer looks like for an education PCV in KZ. Enjoy, and feel free to come visit during any of the weeks I'm at site.

Fall Planning at School #8

As you can see, I'm hoping to start a sports club (really just playing soccer once a week with students during the summer). Also, Mike is planning a movie club that will show and discuss various movies with the help of movie guides given to us by Uzbekistan PCVs. My work at the Professional Development Institute will continue with a teachers' club where we'll do current event articles and discussions. And of course, our American Corner English Club will continue the weekends that we're in town. I will probably keep teaching spanish as well, which I started three weeks ago with a class of about 10 students from various schools around Petro.
