If you haven't heard, I'm going to Kazakhstan with the Peace Corps as an English teacher for a 27 month stay. I leave on August 19th for DC where I will have a three day orientation event and then will ship off for Almaty, Kazakhstan. I will spend my first three months in a Kazakh home learning the language (Russian and/or Kazakh) and receiving training regarding teaching English and creating other community projects for the summer months. Those three months will be spent in a village near Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan. Here are the Tian Shan mountains around Almaty:
This summer I'm hanging out around home, doing odd jobs here are there, and I will be writing more as I prepare and study and pack and find out more about my upcoming adventure. I appreciate notes and comments and updates on what everyone is doing.

YOU ROCK!
Good luck and God speed my friend. I'll be subscribing to your RSS Feed to keep up with your goings on overseas.
If you ever get an itch to come down to Nashville before you go come give me a hug. You can also stay here if you want. =)
Hugs and kisses!
